Zawati Enterprises is a private company, specializing in the growing, packing and distribution of fresh herbs, vegetables, chilies and fruits overseas and locally. The farm was started in 2023 and already has a strong presence in the UK, Middle East and parts of Europe. Our farms are located in Naromoru, about 6km from the Nyeri-Nanyuki road and Utawala, East of Nairobi and also at Eldoret, 2km from Eldoret town. Naromoru is an area located within the Central Highlands of Kenya in an area that has an altitude of 1900m. The farm sits between 2 National land marks, MT Kenya and the Aberdare Ranges, a very scenic and fertile area that braces farming activities and restful scenery. We have an efficient team on board who have enabled us meet customer expectations every time. It is our mission to provide quality, fresh, healthy and tasty produce and we deliver. At Zawati Enterprises, we believe excellence is a journey and we are working tirelessly to continually improve on our systems to deliver better product every time. A big part of this improvement is based on customer feedback and ideas on what they need.
In collaboration with freight agents, we provide an avenue for our customers to consolidate their shipments to reduce handling and shipping costs and essentially provide an efficient and cost-effective supply chain solution. This is especially true for our customers who import both vegetables and herbs as we are able to supply both.
We have a pack house with a state-of-the-art cold room on site at the farm and a modern refrigerated truck that we use to transport products from our pack house to the airport to ensure the cool chain is maintained. We have a borehole on site that we use for all the farm’s water and irrigating needs.

Zawati enterprises company plans to expand its activities with regard to its produce range, market access and consumers’ base. The company aims to diversify its production by growing more chili and fruit varieties for both the export and local markets. We also plan to start value addition by drying chilies and fruit to extend shelf life. The company also plans to invest in an automated consumer packing line to directly reach its end-consumers and so to bypass re-sellers and/or packers.
